Global Healing
The Global Healing project has been underway since 2005 and involves many people who love the earth and want to do some good by placing healing objects in the places they intuitively feel that they are needed.
It all began with my love of the ceramic medium and its malleability and how the the very substance of this art form is the most basic of elements - earth, water, air and fire. I love what can be done as artwork with these simplest of elements and found myself wanting to return to the earth something of that for which I feel gratitude in my life. I began to make these small talismans to leave behind - to cleanse and make whole the earth and her waters and air: Others have joined me and asked to carry these objects to all ends of the earth. When I travel, I ask people who live there to join me and bless the objects and the earth where they live. It has been very gratifying to see how readily people join in and ask to carry these objects elsewhere.
