Bronzes
Bronze is for the long-haul - heavy, resilient - it is also recalcitrant and you must earn the effects which only the molten metal will give. Drop a ceramic piece and it shatters into a hundred pieces. Drop a bronze and you might damage the floor or yourself, but not the sculpture. Pour the molten metal from a crucible and you will know this to be a higher alchemy, dangerous, yet magical- a delicious pleasure reserved for the few who make the effort and take the time.
